Under His Wings

On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.
Psalm 63:6-7

I was thinking about the things that consume our thoughts.
How much time is taken up with contemplation, thinking, analyzing, worrying, hurting, fretting, feeling loneliness, fear......Even in the dark when all we have is our thoughts.
The word says that even through the watches of the night we should remember Him. When we can learn to rest and sing in the shadow of His wings. That is where we will find comfort and refuge.
When baby birds are resting underneath their mamma's wings they are not worried about the rain or their next meal. They're not worried about predators. (Ever seen a mamma bird protect her young'uns?!??!?!?!........they have a reason NOT to be worried! LOL!)

Instead of filling your mind with anxiety, replace your thoughts with praise.
Instead of contemplating hurts and fears, fix your mind intently on the goodness of God.
Instead of thinking about loneliness....think about the fact that Jesus calls us FRIEND! That's the best kind of friend we can HAVE!

There's so much to take comfort in!
There's so much to rejoice over!
There's so much to be thankful for!
There's so much to take peace IN!
There's LIFE in the Word of God and when we think of Him and meditate on His Word, that's the same yesterday today and forever....it will bring life to wherever we are and whatever we are doing and we will find comfort, joy, peace and love.
