You Raise Me Up

Though familiar to many of you, I just wanted to share the lyrics to this song. I was actually sitting here tonight thinking about the way God sees us as His creation. The very work of HIS hands!
His wonderful and beautiful creation! He looks at each of us and smiles. We are made in His image. His glorious image!
When we realize who we are in Christ and who we are as children of God we can reach all the potential He has for us.
But it's when we're leaning on HIM ...not ourselves that we become all He has destined for us to be. In HIS strength...not OURS....In HIS abilities...NOT OURS.
He makes us strong And capable to do whatever He lays before us. He gives us the ability to do whatever He is calling us to do. He can give us confidence and BOLDNESS to carry out the tasks He's given us. WHATEVER your task may be. He'll do whatever it takes to help us reach our potential.
He fills us with peace when all we feel seems to be turbulence. He fills us with joy when sadness tries to overtake us. He gives us grace when we need a second chance. He shows us mercy so that we too can show mercy. He is kind to us so that we can be kind to one another.
He shows us love so that we can KNOW what love is and show it to others.
He loves us with an unconditional everlasting love so that we can KNOW beyond a shadow of doubt that NOTHING can ever keep us from the love
Of Christ. NOTHING can separate me from His love! We set our face like flint and do what is set before us (not what WE would like to have set before Us but rather what HE has set before us) and at the end we can gladly and JOYFULLY hear Him say to us, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!"

He says to us in Jeremiah, "For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and NOT to harm you." He knows where you are and where you're going. He knows where you've been. He sees the depths of your heart that nobody else sees. He rejoices over you and longs to raise you up to be everything He's created you to be.

Psalms 1:1-6 says Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. BUT HIS DELIGHT
IS IN THE LAW OF THE LORD and in His law he meditates day and night. AND HE SHALL BE LIKE A TREE PLANTED BY RIVERS OF WATER THAT BRINGS FORTH ITS FRUIT IN ITS SEASON WHOSE LEAF ALSO SHALL NOT WITHER AND WHATEVER HE DOES SHALL PROSPER" He has created us to be GLORIFIED IN US! So why would he NOT continue the work that He's begun in you ? Why would He NOT complete what He's started?
Be confident in who He's raising you up to be! He created you...so He might know what He's doing!

"You Raise me UP"

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
