The defender of your Faith

If you stand resolute and steadfast with determination and absolute confidence to believe (without wavering) that God IS who He said He is and will DO what He said He will do.......for His name's sake alone He will honor the integrity of your faith.  He will back it 100% by His word.  It's your testimony----what your life says about the character of God----how your life displays His glory----and He will be glorified.  We *KNOW* He will honor His word and back our faith not only because we've seen Him perform on our behalf.  He has a track record of keeping His promises:)  You can stake a claim in it.  Either you believe it or you don't.  There's no middle ground.  There comes a time when you have to believe beyond every shadow of reasonable doubt regardless of what you see, feel, hear or SEE when the only thing you CAN do is stand on the integrity of His word and know that He will do it.

Our lives showcase His glory.  The testimony of our lives display the character of God that He is who He says He is.  He will accomplish the impossible on our behalf and it will all point to Him.

Be bold in your faith.  Put it all on HIM.  The burden is off you.  You just have to believe.
He will be true to His word.  He has to be.

I've been reading for a few weeks now about the life of Elijah and Elisha.  Men of determined, unwavering, obstinate faith.

Elijah had come to the widow woman and her son as a man of God.
She'd come to KNOW him as a man of God.....because God did for her the impossible.  Elijah told her, "This is the word of the God of Israel: 'The jar of flour will not run out and the bottle of oil will not become empty before God sends rain on the land and ends this drought.'" 1 Kings 17:14  And God did it just as He said He would.

But notice how the tides turned for this widow woman.  Her son grew very sick and died. Her first response was to question the sovereignty of God and the validity of Elijah's faith.  What God had just done for her meant nothing to her now.  Her son is dead.  If you can imagine for a moment what Elijah might have been thinking.  He (carrying the Lord's name as His banner) presenting himself as a man  of God put his faith out there----was God going to make a fool of him?   The widow woman said as much, "The woman said to Elijah, "Why did you ever show up here in the first place—a holy man barging in, exposing my sins, and killing my son?"  1 Kings 17:18

HE even began to question God.  GOD was the one who brought him there!!  Why would God send him to this woman's house, representing all that God IS, only for the woman to have her very life crumble around her.  Why would God bring him to this place to deliver disappointment?

I am sure that Elijah felt a bit intimidated.  But instead of shrugging his shoulders and leaving her in her disbelief He asks God for the unthinkable.  The impossible.  With daring and courageous faith asks God to breathe life into this boy's body.  ****AND ONCE AGAIN GOD DOES IT AGAIN****
He shows up!  He honors Elijah's bold faith and the boy lives.

He honored Elijah's faith for one reason and one reason alone.  And the woman speaks it from her own mouth:  "And the woman said to Elijah, By this I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is truth."  1 Kings 17:24

Jesus tells the disciples in John 14:11-12; Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the sake of the [very] works themselves. [If you cannot trust Me, at least let these works that I do in My Father's name convince you.]  I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.

Here is what I want you to notice................
13And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.
14[Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM].

God , for His name's sake alone, will back your faith and defend His honor and integrity of His word.  The integrity of your faith.  He is a God who delivers.  It's how He rolls:)  You can relax.  He's in charge.  And He knows what He's doing.  In every moment.  Every season.  All you have to do is believe and watch Him do great things on your behalf.
