For Sure!
I read this this morning,
In Psalm 23:6 David says, "SURELY goodness and mercy SHALL follow me all the days of my life!" In other words (as I heard it put once)....."God's kindness CHASES us everywhere we go!" Favor follows us. God's goodness is following us!!!!! That's SOMETHING to be expecting!
You have the favor of GOD on your life! You have been crowned with dignity and honor! God has set YOU apart as His own! No weapon formed against you SHALL prosper! And every tongue that rises up against you SHALL fall! It's not fear, doubt, insecurity, sickness, sorrow, failure, weakness, following you! GOODNESS is following you!
Your testimony SHOULD be that GOODNESS and MERCY DOES follow you all the days of your life!
David was living in ANTICIPATION and expectation of the goodness and mercy of GOD! SURELY is a pretty strong word. And SURELY goodness and mercy DID follow David all the days of His life! He was a man after God's own heart! Of COURSE He made mistakes. That is why mercy follows along with goodness. God's mercies are NEW every morning! He is faithful to us! His grace is sufficient for our fleshly weaknesses because where we are WEAK He says, "It's okay.....I got your back!" His grace is MORE than enough!!!!!!!
Because the steps of a righteous man are ORDERED of the Lord.....everywhere our foot treads WILL prosper, if we are allowing ourselves
To be led by the Spirit of God. GOODNESS is following us! As long as we are walking in those callings and being obedient to the voice of God.
In Deuteronomy is speaks of the Blessings of the Lord OVERTAKING you! Deuteronomy 28:1 says, "Now it shall be, if you will diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you will obey the Lord your God"!!!!!!!!
That means to overwhelm you!
God's goodness PURSUES you! While we are pursuing the things of God that is something we can COUNT on!
HE is CHASING us with His blessings!
When you're walking in obedience to the Lord you can count on His blessings following you and overtaking you! You can KNOW that WHATEVER you put your hand to will prosper! Because you're being obedient and following the Lord's leading! We are meant to live ABUNDANT life! Abounding with blessings! Abounding with JOY! Our lives should be so full and abundant of God's blessings that when people look at us our lives reflect the glory and goodness of the Lord!
Look behind you!!!!!! The blessings of the Lord are about to overtake you because goodness and mercy are following you ALL the days of your life! Live in expectation of God's goodness to YOU! Not in fear of the enemy's pursuits! But of God wanting to overtake you with HIS blessings! He is SO much more in store for you if you just live in expectation of it! It's right behind you!
That's something to rejoice about!!!!!!!!!!
