Life is all about choices.
We DON'T get what we deserve. Because of the incredible grace and
sacrifice of Jesus. But we DO get what we CHOOSE. I've heard all my life
people say, "how could a loving God send people to hell?" He doesn't.
It is in their own stubborn will they've chosen to refuse the gift of
salvation and grace. Satan had his will and God allowed him that
rebellion. He gave Satan over to his own will. So in essence hell is
Gods way of respecting human choice. So it is with sin. Our choices
either lead us to the feet of Christ. Or away from him. Life is full of
choices. There will come moments in your life when you have to choose.
He will not force His will on you. He will not ever break fellowship
with you. But unlike my grandfather who's love would hold you in a
sumo-grip against your will and leave you struggling to get
free......the Lords arms are open but He won't force you into them. It
is our decisions that will ultimately keep us there or lead us away.
Sin is a choice. Hell is a choice. He's given us a chance to choose
life. For eternity ---- and from day to day. Our choices will either at
the end of the day bring perfect peace and rest in our souls because
we've done His will or bring grief and heartache. It's your choice.
Deuteronomy 30:19“Today I have given you the choice between life and
death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to
witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you
and your descendants might live.
Kings 18:21...... "How long will
you go back and forth between two opinions?" How long will you sit on
the fence? Either go with GOD or don't. Either you believe Him or
don't. Either you surrender ALL and follow Him. Or you don't follow
Him at all. Make up your minds here and now." (paraphrased by me for
emphasis) Joshua said the same thing to the Israelites in Joshua 24:15
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for
yourselves this day whom you will serve. AS FOR ME?------I WILL SERVE
THE LORD.
