Playing to Win!

......nothing set you back. So don't throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves then. It's still a sure thing!

............................But you need to stick it out,

Staying with God's plan so you'll be there for the promised completion. we're not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We'll stay with it and survive! trusting all the way. Hebrews 10:32-39

Keep your head in the game.

Through every play.
Every call.
Every flag.
Every penalty.
Every touchdown.
Every fumble.
Every interception.
Every interference.
Every offensive move.
                                     Every defensive move.
.................................................................................Down the last second.

We're playing to win.
Game ON!

Eyes UP!

Colossians 3:1-2 So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it!
Pursue the things over which Christ presides.
Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you.

Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that's where the action is.
See things from his perspective.
12-14So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.
15-17Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness.

Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house.

Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way!

It needs nothing more.  Couldn't have said it better myself :)

The Nightwatchman

He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.  Psalm 121:4

My son (who sleeps downstairs) shared with me how when he is lying in his bed at night he listens for me.  He listens for my feet.  He listens for the sound of water running when I am in the shower.  He listens for the sound of my washing the dinner dishes.  He listens for the sound of my voice talking to my husband.  He listens to the sounds of the music I'm playing or the sound of the television.  He listens to the washing machine when I'm doing the laundry and the sounds of the dishwasher.  He listens for my footsteps as I walk across the floor......doing all that I do when all of the children have gone to bed.

As they sleep............I am still moving.  Still working.

And he is listening.  Just to be sure of me.

He says to me...................."I listen for your feet......... and I don't have to be afraid".......
"I hear you and I know you're there."

He who keeps Israel......................neither slumbers nor sleeps.
Always moving.
Listen for Him.  If you look closely.....listen will hear Him.
He.  Is.  There.  Still.
Seeing to every last detail.
Working on your behalf.
You can take a deep breathe and sleep in Peace.
He's got it all under control.
Even in the night hours.
..............And all is well.

In pursuit of tomorrow

.Longing for What-Shall-Be..........
..........Lingering there in What-Has-Been.
Missing out on what is NOW.
The pursuit of tomorrow......
Pushing forward.  Being anywhere BUT here. Jesus came that we might have LIFE and have it
ABUNDANTLY----spilling over.
For NOW.
For this moment *HERE*.
Col 1: 15-18 We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God's original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and *FINDS ITS PURPOSE IN HIM*. He was there before any of it came into existence and *HOLDS IT ALL TOGETHER* right up to this moment.***In HIM we *LIVE* and *MOVE* and *HAVE OUR BEING* Acts 17:28
He gives us grace for each moment. Promises and Hope for tomorrow yes......but HOPE and LIFE and JOY even in THIS MOMENT HERE....that HE is here. With us NOW. Fulfilling His Word in our lives *NOW*. If we are not careful to be fully present where we are in THIS moment.....we might miss out on some incredible Divine appointments He has for us TODAY. Today is what we have in our hands. It is YOURS to do with what you WILL....but if it's HIS will you are seeking then He will take TODAY----every last second of it----and transform even the ordinary and mundane into something truly beautiful. He will bring peace to your soul now. He who calmed the OCEANS can calm your troubled spirit.
Just watch it all unfold before you....*****ONE DAY AT A TIME*****
It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the OVERALL PURPOSE he is working out in everything and everyone. Ephesians 1:11-12 We serve a God who is VERY much alive and IN CHARGE. He is on the throne and doesn't miss a thing! He is watching over His word to perform it. His Word STANDS. So if we're standing on the Word?.......We won't be shaken or moved:) Secure. Steadfast and resolute! Now that's some GOOD news!
..................Because His plans for you are intricately woven into yesterday, TODAY, AND tomorrow.
That should give you PEACE for today and HOPE for tomorrow. Don't miss all the goodness He has stored up for you TODAY. It's all you have in this moment.  So live it FULLY.

A Symphony of Sounds

Oh, the sounds that fill my home!!
When more than one child is playing an instrument at the same time, one is giggling and running through the house, another is singing
....and all of the seemingly endless monkey chatter that seems to reach every room:)
.......All of it reminds me of what it is like to sit through an orchestra tuning their instruments ALL at the same time! HAHA! And yet?!?!------it's music to my ears:)
I am grateful for the small things!!!:)
Every note played, every giggle, every word ---at all decibels, every moment, every story, every sound, every tear, every song, every conversation, every single thing they come running to me with from the least significant to the greatest.
......My life is FULL and I am a blessed mama:)......My "cup runneth over:)"
....without it all my life would be awfully quiet and I don't wanna miss a single thing.
